Terms of service

These terms cover your use of the WHYUS? app. By using it you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

Last updated: 23 October 2026

1. What the service is

WHYUS? is a free, read-only viewer of public on-chain market data. It displays information supplied by third-party providers, lets you search and filter it, can connect a wallet you already control so you can prove ownership of an address by signing a message, and lets a token team buy a labelled placement for its token. It provides no brokerage, no order routing, no custody, no portfolio management and no trading functionality of any kind.

2. Paid boosts

  • A boost is paid advertising: it buys placement in the strip on the screener for the length of the package bought. It is always labelled, and it is not an endorsement, a rating or a recommendation by the operator.
  • A boost never changes market data. Prices, volumes, liquidity, transactions and age come from the third-party providers and are untouched by any placement.
  • The operator may refuse, pause or end a placement at any time — for example where the token is fraudulent, the contract is unsafe or a law or provider rule requires it — and will not run a placement for a token it cannot resolve a live pair for.
  • Requests are queued as pending and only start once payment is confirmed with the team that submitted them. Submission of a request is not a purchase, and no placement is owed until both the payment is confirmed and the operator accepts the request.
  • The chain, contract address, contact handle and optional note you submit are stored on the app's server and shown publicly in the boost queue, as described in the privacy policy. Submit only what you are happy to publish.

3. Not financial advice

Nothing in the app is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any token. The app surfaces raw market data without knowing your circumstances. You alone decide what to do with it, and you alone bear the consequences.

Trading tokens — especially new, low-liquidity ones — is extremely risky. Many are fraudulent, untradeable or designed to take your money. You can lose everything you spend, and transactions on public blockchains are irreversible.

4. Third-party data and no accuracy warranty

  • Prices, liquidity, volume, transaction counts, token metadata and logos come from third-party providers and are shown as is. They may be delayed, incomplete, mispriced or manipulated.
  • Chain marks, token names, logos and other marks belong to their respective owners and appear only for identification. Their appearance here implies no affiliation or endorsement.
  • The app does not verify a token's legitimacy, contract safety, liquidity locks or ownership. Verify independently, on-chain, before you interact with anything.

5. Wallet interactions

Connecting a wallet is optional. You sign a plain-text challenge to verify ownership; the app cannot move funds, approve tokens, or submit transactions, and it never requests a seed phrase or private key. Any transaction you make happens in your own wallet, outside this app, under your sole control and at your sole risk. Never approve a wallet prompt you do not understand.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break any law, or use the app to facilitate fraud, market manipulation or theft;
  • scrape, mirror or bulk-harvest the app or the underlying provider APIs, or otherwise abuse them beyond normal interactive use;
  • circumvent rate limits, or resell the data as your own;
  • interfere with, overload or attempt to compromise the app or the services it depends on;
  • present the data as advice, or as an endorsement of any token, on someone else's behalf.

Access may be withheld or withdrawn at any time, particularly where third-party providers restrict or rate-limit usage.

7. Intellectual property

The WHYUS? name, wordmark and interface belong to whyus.fun. The market data belongs to the providers that publish it, and the token and chain marks belong to their owners. You may use the app for your own personal or internal business research; you may not reproduce the interface or the data as a competing product.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. No warranty is given that the app will be uninterrupted, timely, error-free, or that any piece of displayed data is correct.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, nor for lost profits, lost tokens, lost opportunities or loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app or from any decision you take based on what it displays. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the app — which is zero.

10. Changes and termination

These terms may change as the app changes; the date at the top of the page moves when they do, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. The app may be modified, suspended or discontinued at any time without notice.

11. Operator details and governing law

WHYUS? is owned and operated by whyus.fun. Contact the operator on @whyusdotfun on X or @whyusdotfun on Telegram, including for boost enquiries, corrections and legal notices.

The legal entity behind whyus.fun and its registered address have not been published in the app yet, and no governing jurisdiction has been stated, so these terms are not yet a complete commercial agreement and should not be relied on as one.
