Usage and community guidelines

These guidelines sit alongside the terms of service. They exist so the app stays fast for everyone, the data stays honest, and nobody gets hurt by a wallet prompt.

Last updated: 23 October 2026

Wallet safety first

  • WHYUS? will never ask for your seed phrase or private key. Anyone who does is impersonating the app. No signature request, ever, needs them.
  • A signature request should be a readable text challenge. If a prompt asks you to approve a token, a transfer or an unlimited allowance, reject it and stop.
  • Connect only on a device you trust, and disconnect when you are done.
  • Verify the site address before you connect — the same interface can be cloned.

Using the data honestly

  • Treat every number as unverified until you check it on-chain or on a block explorer.
  • Do not present the app's output as investment advice, and do not quote it as an endorsement of a token.
  • Say where a figure came from — the DS and GT tags show which provider supplied a row, and the two do not always agree.
  • Small pools can be moved by a single trade; a large percentage on tiny liquidity means very little.

Boosts are advertising, not a verdict

  • A boosted token has paid for placement — nothing more. It has not been audited, vetted or recommended by WHYUS?, and a placement says nothing about the token's contract, team or liquidity.
  • Never treat a boost as a signal to buy. Judge every token on its own contract, liquidity and holders, the same way you would without the placement.
  • If you are buying a placement: submit the real contract address, keep your note publishable (the queue is public), and do not ask for a boost on a token you cannot legitimately represent.
  • Placements that misrepresent a token, that impersonate a brand, or whose contract harms holders are refused or pulled.

API etiquette

  • Use the app interactively. Do not run bulk scrapers or headless loops against it, and do not try to bypass provider rate limits — the app already polls them as gently as it can.
  • Do not resell or rebrand the data as your own product; go to the providers for commercial access.
  • Report a broken or abusive feature instead of working around it with automation.

What is not welcome

  • Using the app to promote or coordinate scams, rug pulls, wash trading, or coordinated pump-and-dumps.
  • Impersonating the operator, a provider, or another user.
  • Harassing other users, or sharing anyone's wallet address as a target for abuse.
  • Attacking the service: flooding, probing, denial of service, or exploiting a bug instead of reporting it.

Reporting a problem

Report a security issue, an abusive token listing, or a wallet-draining prompt to the operator as soon as you can, with the pair or address involved — either @whyusdotfun on X or @whyusdotfun on Telegram, the operator's published channels.

Enforcement

Access to the app may be limited or withdrawn for behaviour that breaks these guidelines or the terms — particularly where a third-party provider has restricted usage. Because the app has no accounts, enforcement is normally applied at the network or deployment level rather than to a user profile.

This document describes how the WHYUS? app currently behaves. WHYUS? is owned and operated by whyus.fun, reachable on X (@whyusdotfun) and Telegram (@whyusdotfun). Operational details only the operator can supply — the legal entity, its registered address and the governing jurisdiction — are not published in the app yet and must be added before this document is relied on commercially.
